        一般来说,星级酒店总经理任期为2—3年,任满后就会卸任,更迭是较正常的。但联系当前的金融危机来看,在短时间内多家星级酒店集中更换老总未免引人猜疑。
        亦有公开资料显示,近期北京、上海等一线城市高星级酒店的出租率同比下滑了30%左右。如香格里拉这样的五星级酒店,欧美游客的入住率则下降了10%-12%,位于上海金茂大厦内的君悦大酒店入住率仅为50%,而洲际酒店集团在2008年第三财季盈利同比减少了28%。
        酒店更换职业经理人有很多因素,但不可否认的是:酒店盈利减少,需要缩减成本。而在目前酒店业不景气情况下,酒店职业经理人相对好找,可以通过换人降低薪酬,这恐怕是酒店投资方考虑的最重要的因素。
        奥运之后,整个酒店业界乐观畅想的美好繁荣的酒店市场没有到来,金融危机却来了,如当头棒喝,把我们从分享盛宴的狂欢中敲醒。这样的背景下,我们的酒店职业经理人不可避免的受到冲击,他们将如何把握自己的未来,守成还是超越?“经济寒冬”的寒意或许能让我们更清醒。
